My nephew likes tigers. A lot. As he already had a tiger onesie, a tiger jumper seemed the next best option for his birthday.
I used this pattern (McCalls m6782), with some modifications, as it didn’t have an option for a hooded jacket with a zip front and an unruffled waistband.
The stripes were leftovers from cutting out the lining and cuffs. I appliqued these on to the unjoined pieces, using a narrow zigzag (not satin-stitch) to give them a rough finish.
The ears were basic triangles, orange on the back, black on the front. I cut two small slits in the outer layer of the hood, and sewed them in. I then lined the hood with black, to make it neater.
